Any grass that is available from seed, can be hydroseeded. However, the local environment dictates which grass will work in the specific areas. In South East Texas, the main grasses available are Bermuda, Zoysia and Centipede. Please note that St. Augustine, which is a very popular grass along the Gulf Coast, is not available from seed and must be grown from plugs or sodded. If you have a very shady area, or if your lawn has bad drainage, St. Augustine may be the best choice.

      We will be happy to use seeds provided by the customer. The price will be adjusted, but we cannot guarantee the quality of the seed. The seed we use, are certified and are of the highest quality. Our standard seed is Bermuda Triangle. Our Premium seed of choice is Princess Bermuda. If you prefer Zoysia, we recommend either Companion or Zenith. We don't recommend Common Bermuda for the home owner. It's a very durable grass, but most people are not happy with the quality of lawn it produces. With the same amount of maintenance, Bermuda Triangle will produce a much higher quality lawn. If you want the ultimate lawn, then Princess Bermuda is right for you. Princess is the only seeded hybrid Bermuda grass. It is comparable to Tiff419 Bermuda in density and leaf texture. For the fairway look, Princess is the choice.

      Zoysia is a great choice for those with a slightly shadier lawn. While not as shade tolerant as St. Augustine, it comes in a close second. Zoysia is a slow grower and it's mowing requirement are much less than Bermuda and St. Augustine. However, given some time, it will produce a very thick and beautiful lawn.
